To open a room, click it. You can sort rooms by clicking, "Category/State", then by selecting a category, or state.
To add a room to your "Favorite Rooms" list, right-click it. To remove a room, right-click it in the "Favorite Rooms" list.
Any rooms that are in your "Favorite Rooms" list will automatically open on app startup.
To add tabs, click the + (Plus) button at the top left. Clicking that button will open the locations window. In the locations window, simply click a room to open it as a tab.
To remove a tab, right-click it.
When you get new messages, text at the bottom of the window notifies you which room has new messages. The tab itself will also be outlined green for a few seconds.
Messages are color and sound coded based on their events, issuance, and other factors. You can mute sounds by clicking the mute button on the room itself. Each room can be muted and unmuted separately.
To see more information about a message, simply click on the message itself, or right-click it for more options.
Some messages may have additional text, and some messages also have an image (such as a radar).
Click the image to expand it.
If the message sent time text is blue, you can click it to open a URL that the message contains.
It simply moves the "Latest Message" area to a movable window that can also be docked to the top of the screen.
When you get new messages, notifications can appear.
Notifications appear on screen and over other apps, and can be closed with the checkmark on the right of each one.
Notifications automatically decay after a few seconds, and close themselves. You can see how long until a notification closes by the decreasing progress bar at the bottom.
You can't use notifications with the pop out. You must only use one or the other.
Your changes to settings take effect immediately (except for some special cases).
This is message phrase filtering. Any messages that contain the words in quotes will not be shown to you if you filter them.
This is the message styling group. You can change how big the text appears in messages, reset the size of rooms (in windows), and add the message number into the text itself.
This is the data usage group. Extra message text and images are downloaded for every message (where possible), but here, you can turn off this behavior. You can also increase the time between each server check for new messages for all rooms at once.
This is the feed group. It contains many different options for rooms.
Information about each option has been written out fully.
Shake the window when there are new messages: When there are new messages in a room, the window will start a shaking animation.
Trim messages that do not fit in the window: If there are messages that go outside of the "All Messages" area, the oldest messages are removed to make the newer messages fit. Even if you turn this option off, there is a maximum that can be in the "All Messages" area at once. The maximum depends on other options you have set.
Fade the window with message colors: The window will pulse with new message colors. The colors depend on the severity of the message, which is determined by the message content. The sounds also depend on the severity of a message.
Compatibility mode (My PC can't take it anymore!): This will remove some visual styles, stop most animations from occurring, and also limits the maximum messages count in "All Messages".
Use tabs instead of windows: By default, rooms will be displayed in a tab layout. Turning this off will allow rooms to open in separate windows instead.
Show only recent messages when opened: Shows only the most recent messages in a room. If you turn this off, all messages will be added to the "All Messages" area, which might impact performance for a few seconds.
Allow multiple windows/tabs of the same feed: Turning this on will allow you to open the same room more than once. You should keep this off unless you absolutely need it.
Text Scroll Speed: This controls the text scrolling speed in places where text scrolls. This option will take effect the next time new scrolling text is loaded.
Message Width and Message Height: Both of these numbers control how big a message appears in the "All Messages" area. This is useful if you want to see more text, or if your monitor uses large DPI scaling that affects font sizing. Both of these inputs accept numbers from -100 to 100.
This is the devices group. Enabling vibration will cause any connected gamepads/controllers to vibrate when there are new messages in any open room.
This is the colors group. Uncheck the box to use light mode instead. That's pretty much it. There's not much else to it. Stop looking. There's absolutely nothing else...?
This is the notifications group. You can make notifications bigger in size, but only in width. You can also try the new experimental design.
